ARE YOU SPECIFICALLY EXPERIENCED IN
RESIDENTIAL INSPECTION?
Yes. My experience as well as my training is in
residential inspection. In addition to construction
experience, I have worked in several different capacities as a
residential inspector.

DO YOU OFFER TO DO REPAIRS OR IMPROVEMENTS BASED ON THE
INSPECTION?
No. I have chosen to concentrate my efforts and attention
to providing the most professional home inspections possible.

HOW LONG WILL MY INSPECTION TAKE?
The customer should allow for two to three hours, although
it could take more or less time.

The fee schedule is based on square footage. Several
individual services, however are priced by the job. (See our
price page.)

WHAT KIND OF REPORT DO YOU PROVIDE AND HOW LONG WILL IT
TAKE TO RECEIVE IT?
There are several differing opinions as to which is the
best type of report. Some inspectors use "check
boxes". These are very easy to understand but typically
don't offer very much information. Others will report in
paragraph form This can be confusing, depending on the
individual inspectors writing style. I utilize an outline
style report, which combines the itemized form similar to
check boxes with the detail of the written word. You will
receive an "e-report" via e-mail the day of the
inspection in most cases and then a hard copy, signed and on
company letterhead, in the mail. (See
sample.)

WILL I BE ABLE TO ATTEND THE INSPECTION?
Yes. This is a valuable learning opportunity. An inspectors
refusal to attend your inspection should send up an immediate
red flag. Never pass up this opportunity to see your
prospective home through the eyes of an expert.

DO YOU MAINTAIN A MEMBERSHIP IN A PROFESSIONAL HOME
INSPECTORS ASSOCIATION?
Yes. I am a member of the International Code Council (ICC),
the premier building safety organization. The ICC is the
organization that publishes the residential code book
that is most readily used by professional home inspectors.

DO YOU REGULARLY PARTICIPATE IN CONTINUING EDUCATION?
Yes. One can never know it all, and this inspectors
commitment to continuing education is paramount as the code is
constantly changed to make homes safer for the consumer.

WHEN SHOULD I HAVE A HOME INSPECTION?
Most often when an initial offer is accepted and a deposit
is made on a property, the buyer generally has a 5-10
day period to contact a home inspector
