Atlanta Georgia Home
Inspections
From the moment you call Castle Home Inspection you
will be greeted in a courteous and friendly manner. We will make
every effort to schedule your appointment as close to, if not
exactly, when is most convenient to you. We will arrive on time
and perform your home inspection in a timely fashion. This is to say
that we will take as much time as is necessary to provide you the
most complete home inspection possible, while understanding that your
time is important to you! A typical home inspection will last
approximately 2 hours however; this is subject to a good deal of
variance.

When your Castle home inspector arrives he will introduce himself,
explain how the home inspection will proceed and get right to it! The
home inspection will begin with the exterior of the house. An
inspection of the overall property will be made. This will
include: ground cover, vegetation, driveways, walkways, patios,
grading, surface areas and retaining walls. An inspection of
the structure will then be given. This will include: roof style,
roof covering, visible flashing, skylights, roof penetrations
(plumbing stacks, gas vents, etc.), fireplace chimneys, gutters
and downspouts.
Once these items are observed and recorded a thorough
inspection of the home's remaining exterior will be made. This
includes: trim, siding/ wall covering, paint, windows, screens,
doors, porches, decks, balconies and garage/carport.
Upon the completion of the exterior inspection the
inspector will remove his shoes before commencing the interior
portion.
This phase of the inspection will consist of a general
observation of the condition of the interior to include: walls,
floor coverings, water damage on ceiling, etc. It also will
include an inspection of the major operating systems of the home
as well. Such as...
Electrical to include: type conductors, main and
branch circuits, grounding cable, fixtures and outlets, ground
fault circuit interrupters (GFCI), smoke detectors and breaker
box.
Plumbing to include: visible water piping, main water
shut-off, water supply, waste disposal system, water heater,
ceramic tile, showers fixtures and washer/ dryer connections.
HVAC to include: type energy source, location and
condition, filters, vents, controls, distribution and electrical/
gas connections.
The home inspection, then, gets down and dirty. A thorough
inspection of the crawl space, basement or slab is given. We will
inspect: visible foundation walls, floor framing, any other
visible framing, insect damage/ rot, evidence of water seepage and
sump/ pump (if present).
We also offer several important testing procedures for
your convenience. They are: radon testing, lead paint testing,
indoor air quality testing, and termite inspections.
After the completion of the home inspection we will
immediately begin compiling an easy to read and understand report.
This report comes in an outline form that categorizes each
portion of the home and explains the observed deficiencies in easy
to understand language. You will receive your report the same day
via e-mail (in most cases). A "hard copy" (on company
letterhead and signed by the inspector) will be immediately mailed
to you for legal purposes.
Of course, you can call at any time after the home inspection to ask questions that you might have about your home.
At castle your complete satisfaction is our goal. Please call
